Beyond religion
The Moon Landing
Do not take NASA’s word for it. Take India’s, Japan’s, and the Soviet Union’s.
The strategy
Someone who thinks NASA faked it will not be moved by NASA photographs. Use the evidence NASA does not control.
Who has independently verified the landing sites
None of these are NASA, and several had every incentive to expose a fraud.
| Who | What they did | When |
|---|---|---|
| Apache Point Observatory | A university facility, not NASA, fires a laser at retroreflectors Apollo left behind and measures the distance to about one millimeter | Ongoing since 2005 |
| India (ISRO) | Chandrayaan-2 photographed the Apollo 11 and 12 descent stages from orbit | 2021 |
| Japan (JAXA) | Kaguya imaged the Apollo 15 site and produced 3D terrain matching the astronauts' own 1971 photographs | 2008 |
| South Korea | Danuri imaged the Apollo 11 and 17 sites | 2023 |
| The Soviet Union | Tracked Apollo in real time with its own equipment during the Cold War and never disputed the landings | 1969-1972 |

The Soviet Union never disputed it
This is the argument. At the height of the Cold War, having just lost the space race, the USSR had the technical means, the motive, and an enormous propaganda incentive to expose a fraud. They said nothing because there was nothing to say.
When they say
"The flag was waving." There is a horizontal telescoping rod sewn into the top hem, designed so the flag would appear extended with no air. The flag assembly
"No stars." Exposure was set for a brightly sunlit surface and white spacesuits. Try photographing stars and a sunlit object in the same frame on Earth.
"The Van Allen belts would have killed them." Measured crew doses ranged from about 0.16 to 1.14 rads. The threshold for acute harm is over 100 rads. NASA dosimetry report
"Kubrick filmed it." The best answer is physics. Dust kicked up by the Apollo 16 rover follows trajectories only possible in vacuum at one sixth gravity. A 1969 soundstage full of air could not produce that footage. The analysis
NASA really did lose the original Apollo 11 tapes. The raw slow scan TV data tapes were erased and reused in the early 1980s because the Landsat program was short on tape stock. NASA's own report
A genuine, embarrassing archival failure. Also mundane: the broadcast footage everyone watched in 1969 was never lost. Saying this first does more for your credibility than any single piece of evidence.
The scale problem
About 400,000 people worked on Apollo. Six landings. Twelve men. Live television watched by roughly 600 million people. Fifty plus years. Not one leak, from anyone, ever.
